據《華盛頓郵報》6月7日報道，美國國務院6日通知全球各地使領館，恢復為準備赴哈佛大學就讀的國際學生辦理簽證。這一決定推翻了5日剛下達的拒簽指令。
The US State Department on Friday night told consulates around the world to resume processing visa applications for students planning to attend Harvard University, reversing guidance sent a day earlier that directed such requests to be rejected.
據報道，美國國務院6日19時55分發出的電報稱，“現在，領事部門必須恢復處理哈佛大學的學生和交流訪問者簽證。”
Now, "consular sections must resume processing of Harvard University student and exchange visitor visas," the cable, sent Friday at 7:55 pm, states.
目前，美國務院官網暫未發布相關信息。
