An Air India passenger plane bound for London with more than 240 people on board crashed on Thursday afternoon shortly after takeoff from an airport in western India, killing at least 265 people on board and on the ground — but one passenger has miraculously survived.

這架計劃飛往英國倫敦的波音787-8“夢想客機”于當?shù)貢r間12日中午1時38分起飛。起飛后還不到1分鐘，其信號在約190米的高度消失，飛行員曾在客機失事前發(fā)出“Mayday”求救信號。

Flight AI171 departed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat at 1:38 pm, and was due to arrive at Gatwick Airport in London at 6:25 pm local time.

Video footage on Indian news channels showed the plane crashing minutes after takeoff into a populated area right outside the airport.

最新公布的機場監(jiān)控畫面顯示，失事飛機在起飛后不久撞入機場旁的一棟建筑物內(nèi)，現(xiàn)場燃起大火。據(jù)報道，這棟建筑物距離機場大概2公里。

除機上人員外，事故還造成地面人員傷亡，古吉拉特邦衛(wèi)生部門官員在事發(fā)后表示，已有至少50名地面人員被送往醫(yī)院接受治療。

Indian media reports said the plane — a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner — crashed on top of a medical college hostel. Visuals showed the tail cone of the plane, with damaged stabilizer fins still attached, lodged atop a building. Reports said at least five medical students were killed and around 50 injured.

Aviation authorities have found one of the two black boxes of the Air India flight that crashed in the western Indian state of Gujarat, killing 241 on board, local newspaper Hindustan Times said.

印度警方確認發(fā)現(xiàn)一名幸存者，也是事發(fā)24小時內(nèi)官方確認的首位生還者。

One passenger onboard the ill-fated plane that crashed in west India was rescued alive after several hours had lapsed since the tragedy occurred, confirmed a top cop on Thursday.

經(jīng)核實，這位幸存者是英國籍男子維什瓦斯庫馬爾·拉梅什。目前，他已被緊急送往醫(yī)院接受治療。醫(yī)護人員透露，其意識清醒，但“顯然受到了驚嚇”。

The Hindustan Times named the survivor as a British national, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, and said he was receiving treatment. What appears to be a copy of the flight manifest, shared by news agency IANS, lists Vishwash Kumar Ramesh as having been assigned seat 11A and boarded.

這位幸存者說：“起飛三十秒后，就聽到一聲巨響，然后飛機墜毀了。”

The Hindustan Times said it spoke to Ramesh in a local hospital, and quoted him as saying: “Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.”

幸存者維什瓦斯庫馬爾·拉梅什事發(fā)時坐在11A座位，客艙分布圖顯示，該位置緊鄰艙門。

總臺記者獲悉，維什瓦斯庫馬爾·拉梅什在飛機起飛前曾與父親通話，稱即將起飛。其家屬透露，維斯瓦什庫馬爾和兄弟埃杰坐在緊急出口附近的座位上。

Ramesh told the Hindustan Times that he had been visiting family and was returning to the UK with his brother, who had been sitting in a different row. He didn’t know if his brother had survived, he said.

僅僅兩分鐘之后，他再次致電父親，稱飛機墜毀了，但不清楚自己是怎么活下來的，不知道自己是怎么逃出墜毀的飛機的。他的家屬表示，至今還沒有其兄弟埃杰的消息。

目前，維什瓦斯庫馬爾·拉梅什意識清醒。救治他的醫(yī)生表示，“他的手上和臉上有幾處傷口，沒有大問題，走路有點一瘸一拐，顯然受到了驚嚇”。
