近日據外媒nintendosoup報道，Switch 2的包裝上清晰標出需要互聯網連接，才能激活基本功能：使用MicroSD Express卡。
這也意味著新購入Switch 2的用戶在首次使用前，需要進行聯網更新以啟用存儲卡，以及其他功能。
此前外媒The Game Business就透露，首批購買Switch 2的玩家需要將其連接到互聯網，下載并安裝更新，才能完整使用新主機所有功能。可以確認的是，Switch 2首日更新至少會啟用MicroSD Express卡的使用權限，使玩家能夠存儲和運行較大容量的游戲。
